The Almscliffe Hall exists for the benefit of the residents of Huby, Newby, Castley, North Rigton , Stainbum and Weeton and is also available for hire to the general public as a venue for a variety of functions.

 

The hall has a range of high-quality facilities including free Wi-Fi and is well equipped and maintained.

 

It supports a number of clubs and societies, including: Bridge, Cricket, Playgroup, Snooker, Tennis and Bowls and the Weeton Players.

 

The Hall is available for hire to the general public and the facilities, which include a function room, a stage and a well-equipped and recently refurbished kitchen, make it an excellent venue for dances, dinners, wedding parties, plays and concerts.  Groups of up to 120 can be accommodated.

 

A canopy/lining can be hired at additional cost.  This transforms the main hall for functions and gives the appearance of being in a marquee.  See the photos below showing the hall set up for a function.

 

Our kitchen has been fully refitted in 2009 with a commercial oven, boiling water dispenser and a dsihwasher which can wash 150 place settings per hour!

Organisations may use the kitchen facilities at no extra charge, or if preferred, can make their own arrangements with a professional caterer.  Catering arrangements should be discussed with the hall manager at the time of booking.
