The North Rigton Church Bells Appeal

Almscliffe Village Community Association

The appeal is to raise funds to install a full peal of six bells in the Church of St John The Evangelist in North Rigton to mark its centenary in 2011.

The appeal is a community project involving the surrounding Almscliffe villages of Huby, Weeton, Castley and Stainburn, as well as North Rigton. It is intended to benefit and enhance not just the church but all the communities of the local villages.

The appeal target is £30,000 for the cost of the bells and installation. To raise funds and manage the appeal, an
Almscliffe Villages Community Association has been established with a formal committee and has been registered as a charity.

Volunteers to help with the appeal or to become a bell ringer and donations to the appeal are welcome.
